really any little bugs have been fixed over the last few years the gen3 has been in play.

some of the early gen's had oil problems, but from my memory nothing major that you should worry yourself with

Yep, what mark said. The early gen 3 motors had oil problems and a lot were recalled. By the time the VZ SS arrived, most of the bugs would have been well and truly ironed out. No special maintenance required other than the usual services.

an ecu edit will help spice things up and depending on how many klms and how well engine been looked after, they respond well to nos. go speak to any performance shop and they'll tell you more. there are a shitload of cars modified in that way, you just dont know it hey. on gas they run 12 easy some in the 11's

about all there is to know is the stock clutches are useless as are the standard valvesprings if you decide to do a few mods on it. apart from that there shouldn't be any problems.
