Default Model V8 Engine Running - Must See Video

Now this is Model Engineering at it's absolute best! Check out this bloke's website, this is one of the most insane things I've ever seen. He's actually hand-built a supercharged model engine, completely from scratch (and it's his own design). Watch the video of it running - it sounds like a top fueler!!!

Where the heck does anyone get the time and patience to do something like this???

By the way, there's a very detailed writeup on the entire build-up for those who are interested in the engineering side of it.....

AWESOME! Can I please have one!!!

    Main site:

Direct link to video of engine running:

    Enjoy......

tell me about it, imagine how small the cam and valves and injectors would be.
not to mention all the rings and oil pickup ect.

I'd have to say they woudlnt be scale models of the real thing, they'd be whatever was available that worked...

But having said that ( and not having looked at the other older topic), i saw a web site on these engines before. They cast everything themselves! right down to the blower rotors etc!

Absolutely amazing if you ask me! The machine work must be SO miniscule its an art..

Good on them though.. great to look at!

after looking through the whole story, everything except the carbs and dissys seem to be scaled down replicas of an actual V8 engine.

tiny little valve springs, a working dry sump pump and a heap of other stuff.

it's just brilliant. and a hell of a lot of work
