    Default BCM number NO Key!

Just got a wrecked VS wagon, with no keys, have removed the ignition barrel as the steering was locked, and can turn on ignition via black module @ the back.
Problem being the immobiliser is on,and the engine will not turn over. I know i need the BCM number to get a new remote, but can i find out this number without going to a dealer?
I have had this problem before with my ute as the key/ remote 'lost' the BCM #, and the RACQ tech used his multi-meter to crank the engine via the relay connections.

As i only need to crank the engine over atm, I have tried this but have been unsuccessful

ANY Help will be great, thanks for looking

Leave the ignition on for an hour without cranking or anything . Should override the immobiliser .

easier way to crank over engine without it firing is to just pull out start relay (under bonnet) look on relay for pin numbers. with a piece of wire bridge out pins 30 and 87 in the relay block, will crank

After removing the barrel, i have been able to start the car. using the ignition switch on the back of the barrel. After waiting for an hour to override the immobiliser, the car can be started. when needing to disconnect the battery, turn the ignition back to reds, and simply disconnect the battery. when it is connected again the reds are on the the immobiliser has not been turned on, simply start the car.

    Thanks for the input
