definitely NOT the Toyos
I had a set of 235/45 17s on the SS a cupla years ago
s*h*i*t*e, S*H*I*T* crap tyres, went out of round after 15000
...dealer and Toyo did not want to know

went out and bought a set of Yoko's ...a 200% better tyre

oh....
and that Tyrepower dealer lost our company car tyre business
(warning don't upset a car fleet manager...me)

hth

khumo's are my choice.

i had the same sort of thing happen with toyo's so i steer clear of them. i had them on my vh and after about 1000k's the rubber cracked off to reveal canvas went back and they said it was how i was driving.

I've had bad experiences with Dunlop and Yokohamas (and others besides), but Bridgestones have always been good to me, despite my driving habits

you can buy ET streets in 17s

the reason its more expensive for less rubber is that it is a much less common size, so they produce less!

For some reason, my back ones are always bald well before my fronts?

IMO dunlops are over rated, for motocross every one uses dunlops rar rar rar but their shit and wear out far to quickly, and arn;t that cheap,

The main reason tyres wear out fast is the compound plus driving habbits, but the main one is compound. If you want traction you won't get wear,if you want wear you won't get traction.Fact of life.

michellin aren't cheap, but their not over the top expensive either, and i find them to be pretty damn sticky, you drive on them hard they wear fast, take it easy on them and make sure to rotate, you'll get good mileage, pretty sticky in the wet too.
michellin for me.

I have Maxxis tyres on the rear of the Torana, at the time it was about all I could get in that size, but they have been really good.
