just my opinion on my preferences, apologies to anyone who feels aggrieved because they have a "car" tatt, its your skin, do what you like. I get judged by my appearance all the time and dont give a fark , nor should you.

Yeah I agree, car related tatts are sorta like those giant belt buckles, just a bit too hillbilly for me, although having said that, something like a ratfink style tatt might be cool.. As above feel free to flame haha

no offence jason, but the southern cross has been overkilled man. another mate went and got one done, and i just groaned. lacks originality.

and don't get me wrong, i'm inked. have the japanese kanji (not chinese) for love, honour and family tattooed across my heart. the 3 biggest things i stand by in life.

my bro was talking to me about getting some done, and i said lets do it. just need to think of what i want to do get done.

I've got some ink, in the next few years I'll be getting my sleeves and some of my back done, and I want to incorpate something car related, was thinking of just a block on its own (V8 of course) open headers and supercharger, blowing flames out the open headers to mix in with the flames that I'm going for, or even a skull with 2 pistons insted of bones (skull and crossbones), something like that. Wouldn't get an actual car tattooed on my though, every car tattoo i've seen hasn't looked to good.

Not picking on you or your choice of tat dude but your comment is a bit hypocritical don't you think? You say the southern cross is done but you went and got kanji inked on yourself? Every second uni student has something japanese (or asian of some description) tattooed on their body somewhere. Isn't that lacking in originality too?
I understand that it means something very important to you but to a lot of us (and Jason I'd say) the southern cross stands for the country we love the most and would be just as at home on me as any other chosen symbols of love, honour, family, patriotism, whatever.

Having said that, I've got my family name tattooed down the back of my right arm above my elbow and a big tribal piece over my left arm and shoulder. I know it's been done before but it means something to me which is all that counts

My next piece is a sacred heart on my ribcage to celebrate the life of my dad. Again, they've been done to death, but it's the symbol I've chosen to represent the loss of one of the most important people in my life.

Horses for courses I say. Fair enough to judge the ink but the motives behind it shouldn't be disrespected.

One thing has to be remembered Tattoos are personal things I get alot off Sh*t about my lower back.

A mate has a tattoo of a turbo on his arm, not my sorta tat but gotta admit it is a mad tat and his planning of getting pistons and rods positioned behind it like cross bones.

You shouldn't, your tattooist did a bloody good job with that coupe. I'm not really a fan of the whole thing but the art is pretty damn good.
