I got mine from RDP and I think it was $200 on special. I havn't put mine on yet but if I were to do it again I would get a complete glass bonnet from alpha motorsport in Melbourne. Works the same off the original hinges aswell. I got quoted $900 delivered to Brissy.
What manifold are you going to run?
I got a super victor with 2" spacer plus air cleaner and it sticks up past bonnet by 3"

pends on what you like theres that many differant styles these days.

some with the raised bit in the centre some dont etc etc

if you buy and fit yourself just remember if you buy a 4 inch

buy the time it gets trimed to suit the hq bonnet it will be about 3.

and the 6 inch comes up sharper at the front. all comes down to personal

preferance buy one and cut to suit the way you like...i cut the back of

mine several times to get it the way i wanted. but i see lots of really

good, differant cuts around now. experament alittle.

Dont you mean reverse facing or cowl scoop mark?

those alfa motorsport panels are they legal on the street or not?

Mark - i'd say vpw or rocket would have them as well. Could try getting a price off them delivered.

They've gone down in price.
I'll try to get a pic of my scoop tomorrow and post it up with some measurements.

Just out of curiosity what is the actual legal height allowance on bonnet scoops in qld?

And what are the 4 sizes do they go up from 4" or is there a lower one as well?

ok done some research and found these:
Goodmark Steel Hood Scoops - JEGS

They are STEEL cowl scoops either 2 1/4" or 5" high....

Im thinkning the 5" one, being steel they can be welded to bonnet and wont crack like fibreglass ones can, also being steel they are legal to then cut a hole in your bonnet and have the filter though the hole because the metal scoop will be covering the filter.

what you guys think?

If people are interested i might see if i can do a group buy?

Overall Dimensions: 140cm L x 62cm W x (12cm) 5"H

QLD LAWS ON SCOOPS:
Quote:
Bonnet scoops
Bonnet scoops/projections may be fitted to a vehicle
provided the driver’s vision is not restricted under
normal operating conditions with the driver’s seat
located at its lowest and rearmost position.
Bonnet-mounted scoops/projections must meet the
following requirements:
• When a 165mm diameter sphere is placed on the
bonnet in front of the scoop (or bonnet projection)
and rolled backwards until it touches the scoop, no
forward point of the scoop or point of contact between
the sphere and the scoop must lie above a horizontal
plane passing through the centre of the sphere.
• It shall be possible to see either the surface of the
road 11m in front of the driver’s eye or all of the front
edge of the original body when looking across the top
of the bonnet scoop. For the purposes of this
requirement, the driver’s ‘eye’ position can be taken
as being a point 730mm above and 270mm forward
of the junction of the seat cushion and seat back with
the seat in its lowest and rearmost position.
• The edges at the front of a scoop/projection shall be
rounded with a minimum of 10mm radius.
• All other edges and corners shall have a radius of not
less than 5mm and be designed to reduce the risk of
bodily injury to any person to a minimum.
• The scoop/projection must not have reflective surfaces.
• Any holes in the bonnet must not substantially reduce
the strength or impact resistance of the bonnet.
• Air cleaners or carburettors must not protrude
beyond the original bonnet profile unless the bonnet
scoop/projection is manufactured from equivalent
gauge mild steel, compared with that of the original
bonnet.
• Air cleaners and/or carburettors must be covered by
the bonnet scoop.
