Default VZ Commodore Wiring Diagram? Mobile Phone -

Just wondering if anyone has/knows where the connecter in a VZ is for wiring in a mobile phone kit is?

The BA has it just next to the fuses, we're going down to purchase a VZ on wednesday, knowing that i need to have the car kit installed by sunday night, i thought i better go looking for the diagram.

    i cant find it anywhere

I had a kit in a VX and if I recall correctly it had a plastic mount specifically for the car that went on the left side of the console and the wiring went under the console and attached at the radio (it only muted the radio in the VX, a separate speaker was still required but I believe later models fixed this so it runs through the stereo speakers?)

It is located on the left-hand side of the center console. To get to it simple open the glove box (or take it out is easier), undo the 2 screws holding the side panel on (right hand side of the glove box). Move the passengers seat to its back most position and there is a screw on that panel down beside the seat, undo that and the whole panel will come off. Once it is off you will see a white 6 pin connector there.

    Here is the wiring codes:
    Orange---------- +12 volts
    Black/green------Ground
    Yellow----------- +12 volts accessories
    Yellow/white-----Radio mute - active low
    Blue-------------Audio +
    Blue/white-------Audio -

I will try to find pics now for you.

    oooh excellent!
    thanks guys!
i've done a few BA's two VX's, WH Stato and my VS, but nowhere on the net had some info on a VZ,

    greatly appreciated the advice,
and 76lx, the VX doesnt have an input as you said, but you can just splice onto... say the front driver speaker, and as the radio is muted, it will work perfect, thats what we had on our VX's and we have done on the WH statesman.
    Cheers

to do that, you might need a diode wired in to stop backfeed affecting the phone system.

it may be okay, but I'd do it anyway....just in case
