Thread: ANDRA rules for an 11sec car

Couldn't be bothered giving Andra money for a rules book

Does anyone know what I need for an 11 sec car to pass scrutineering eg Harnesses ect

you need a minimum 4 point harness to run quicker than 12.00, tail shaft loop, no retreads, Adequate throttle return spring. No cage for mono construction unless it is modified- I dont know if they worry to much about this.Going by the rule book if its not mono construction 11.99 and quicker needs a cage. I ran a hilux, went 11.58 and they made me fit a harness but never mentioned a cage.

Thanks Al. I think the harness is all I need

Dual return springs for carb, external isolator / kill switch marked with on/off, battery location marked with 3" blue triangle, must run mufflers, if you run slicks you will need a non bias ply front tyre, 600ml overflow for radiator.

For ANDRA round you need clearly displayed licence number and class, although I havent seen them police this or the isolator switch on street cars. Dont forget the helmet regs, Snell2005 or AS/NZ1698 but must carry the correct aus std sticker otherwise no go.

and all the other stuff above. full tech and half cage down to 10.5, then full cage and tech


All depends who does the scutineering, I did half a dozen meeting at WSID before they found the N2o!!! have fun

Isolator switch I'm getting but I'm not putting one of those blue triangle stickers on it nor will I have the switch outside the car.

just read the rule looks like true street blown 4 me to!! had the car on the strip sat night dave best run 11.8 at 119 MPH

In a perfect world that MPH would see you flat 11, i mean so flat that its not far off a 10! have fun

Last time I just went in DYO but I think next time I'll go in True street. You get a 4 runs no matter what happens
