Default Perspex windows

Hi All,
Although i have a pretty good idea of teh answer, can i put a perspex rear window in my tonner so i can run the cage out the back and mount it to the tray ???? Obviously this is related to a rego'd vehicle.

Thanks in advance

Simon.

Checked with the Guru's & yep, Perspex is a no-go. Basically because of how it shatters. So if there's another substance that is like safety glass but drillable that might be an option. I wouldn't know where to start with that though. Maybe a bit more though/expense into the cage istelf you might be able to brace it through the parcel shelf/rear firewall....?
I'm sure there's an answer somewhere there. Good luck.

Fit polycarbonate ( lexan ), it wont shatter, you can throw a brick at it and it will just bounce off ( trust me i've tried )

Different ballgame then. I'm on holiday for a fortnight so I won't be able to help. Ask the traffic inspectors at Qld Transport, or call State Traffic Task Force (QPS). I don't know their direct line but if you ring the switchboard on 3364 6464 they should be able to get it for you. It's going to come down to the same 'code of practice' but I don't know how it's worded for windows etc.
Cheers.
