If you look in the mirror of the first pic, it looks like the photographers car is also stuck.
This stuff happens all the time up here on a beach called Gunn Point.

I don't see a problem with the second pic, its not exactly the most environmentally friendly way to dispose of a ford but at least his trying

yeah we get that a fair bit down here in goolwa, i believe the beach has claimed quite a few cars including a brand new mercedes. actually as the car in the second picture appears to have SA plates id wager a bet its probably taken at goolwa beach

also happens alot at cable beach in broome, as a 0.2m low tide can turn into a 9m high tidfe in 40 minutes .
i once seen a cruiser go under for a whole day, come out the next arvo at low tide and after a bit of drainage it started straight away and is still running to this day. hail landbruisers~
