Default tacho for vr ss v8

hey,
i just bought a 5in monster tacho and was wondering where the green techo wire hooks up. ive hooked the red (positive) and black (negative) but am unsure about the signal wire. i have been told that it is one of the wires to the ignition module, but just wanted to clarify before i go tapping into wires. thankyou for any help.
