not sure if anyone is interested, but i contacted Summit regarding not being able to buy the holden billet msd distributors they once sold and they said MSD wont supply them anymore, i tried to contact msd on several occasions regarding the issue, they only responded to me once i posted the question on there forum. So they have now confirmed they have helped rocket monopolize the market on these distributors. from paying $240 odd from summit and now $390+ from rocket. i should probably stick to chevs...

I purchased one from Outlaw Speed shop last week for $390. I wasn't aware they were ever available from the US, I just assumed it was something only available over here. I did save some money from getting the 6al-2 and coil from Summit.

The reason they're only available through Rocket is that they were specifically made for Rocket in the first place. Rocket did the development on them with MSD and had to commit to buying large volumes of them to justify MSD making them in the first place.

Bottom line is if Rocket didn't do the work in the first place the MSD Holden dissy's wouldn't exist. It's easy for Summit, Jegs, etc to just put their 5% on and sell it when they didn't have to develop it, they don't have to stock it and they don't have to pay GST when they import it.

Disclaimer: I know about this stuff because I'm a long term employee of Rocket.

That's interesting to know. I wondered why I couldn't get a dizzy from the states for my 253.
