Default Good engine reconditioners(builders) Melbourne Area..

As the title says im looking to reco my tired 308.. I have finished the panel and paint on my 74 hq kingswood (Check my photos) now just need to give the motor a birthday.. I believe it is out of a hz as is the turbo 400.. Just looking for a good strong motor in the end.. Nothing to crazy just Reliable and a lil tuff .. As i'm sure i could poke around on the web and the yellow pages just thought i could get some advise from people that have been in my position before.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Try Pavtek or Duggans.

If its only a mild build most shops can turn that job out. But as everyone else will tell you, whats your budget and what do you want.

Just a rebore, crank grind, new cam and lifters and reco the heads, any shop can do that.

Do you want to change to efi heads or stoke it etc, go to Pavtek, they are good as is Warren at Duggans. Just dont let Pavtek talk you into their magic girdles.

+1 For JSR, John Sidney Racing

    19 Treforest Drive, Clayton, Victoria Australia 3168 Phone: 61 3 9543 5064

Great guys, great workmanship. Mick the machinist knows his stuff. Also they are very reasonably priced.

Wow are Truline still going, had a block done by them once many years ago like the late 80's. Did a good job then.

Lol yea he is still going, he built a s/b Chev for me and tricked a set of d/h fuellys for it, been going strong for 6 years.
But lakeside are really good as well and they have there own dyno there so it's build, tune and drive out.
