HEI dizzy big cap conversion
Hey all, did a search but there's too much to wade through, main question is what is the part (ford or holden) and part number of the smaller cap you put on that has male terminals?

either both are the same but you need a ford V8 electronic dissy rotor button to suit the smaller cap

Yeah thanks that part I know, I just need a part number for the small cap that has male terminals not the standard female terminals.

You should use Ford XE rotor and cap,..then buy a set of VN leads,..all this should go together perfect.

Stop being lazy and asking for part number on here and go look at the dissy caps in super cheap and read what they fit on the back of the packet they come in.

LOL @ nemo don't worry mate I did that before I posted up, all the auto shops around here in Bunno just give you a blank stare if it's out of the ordinary or not on their computer, besides only the six pack caps have male terminals although we're not exactly spoiled for choice down here.

Incase you have not bought one, holden went big cap to try and stop arcing between terminals and cross fire of leads, the larger caps still use the same normal bosch base
Anyway later on holden went back to the standard / small caps
Why - quality leads @ 8mm and thick insulation solved the problems, you can sort of thank lead technology and LPG gas as well. - also dont tie your leads together , use those lead spacers / combs they are under $10 for 3 small bits of plastic or raid a wreckers a get a handfull, with some carefull lining up your long leads wont touch extractors / exhaust either
The other thing is with large cap you will probably have to change your air filter - stock black airfilter wont fit anymore
