    Default Harrop LS1 stroker crank

Harrop is going to be releasing an LS1 383 nodular iron stroker crank. Looks like a pretty good price too at $1,595.

It wouldn't be as good as a steel crank would it? But I guess it would be good enough for a mild street and occasional strip setup... What do you think?

well it would stroke the motor to a 6.2l if im not mistaken so you would have a lot more low down torque and overall HP

if you were to build a 383 with a mild cam and some headwork you'd end up with roughly 330 kw at the tyres depending on who you get to do the work and who tunes it. for an eagle stroker kit with steel crank, rods and pistons, bearings, rings etc there around $4,600 for the complete kit. then obviously you've got a bunch of parts to go on top of that.

Sam's Performance stage 1 kit is around $12k I think....drive in drive out. Obviously no good to you because he is in Sydney. Plenty of reputable builders in Vic though. I'd also throw on one of those super sexy harrop hurricane manifolds

yeah the hurricane manifolds look ultra sexy don't they, a bit expensive though. a fast manifold can be had for around $1600 and from what i've been told from nathan higgins will be fine for what i would want it for. i've been doing a bit of research and from what i've learnt so far, for anything above 300-310rwkw you'd be looking at about $10k+ depending on what parts you've got fitted to your motor already. obviously none of it includes things like clutches, diff gears etc. but usually does include some sort of fuel system upgrade, injectors, surge tank, fuel pumps etc.
