Hi fellas, following on from my other thread just thought I'd put some questions out there in regards to a stroker build up (probably the 100th one on here lol). Firstly as my username suggests I have a VL calais with the black 304, it's got some minor mods which I plan to keep for the stroker. I'm not after a fire breathing monster, just something nice and strong for the street. I'm planning to take the motor out and send off the short block with the kit to an engine builder then re-install with existing mods (should be a decent combo). How much roughly would a builder charge to fit and balance the kit? What exactly needs to be done to the block to fit the kit (balance/bore/clearances?) Also do builders generally like doing short blocks only or will they hound me about them doing the whole lot? thanks in advance
