I have done a couple of em . If you don't know what you are doing you can ruin a manifold pretty quickly. I'm not going to get into the nitty gritty of it but manifold tuning can greatly influence the way an engine behaves .

My advice is to leave it to the pro's. Manifold porting starts at $500.

there is a gross mis-match of the intake gasket to manifold.

the gasket matches the intake port opening but not manifold

suppose would have to start by port match, clean up the casting marks in the runners then plenum.

was just tryng to find some info on the net about it all

Port match is pretty easy. You need to fit the manifold with gaskets on to the heads and transcribe baseline markings from head to manifold . Once you have done that then it is a case of some careful measurement and further marking onto the manifold face. Trial fitment whilst doing is essential . Once you have a baseline to work from you can transfer all of the measurements needed.

If you plan on working into the runner then you will need a six inch shank burr. The middle runners are easy, the outer 4 not so much..

I used this method a couple of times now

I set the heads on the block (no valves, maybe a loose head bolt or two) and bolt on an intake manifold that has been dowel pinned. Then I remove the bolts from one side of the manifold, lift off the manifold and head, and reach up through the intake valve seat to scribe the manifold.
Care should be taken porting the intake I found out the hard way
