Hello All,
I've been lurking around here for a while and though I should finally seek some assistance from the Clevo experts. I'm thinking of converting my F100 to LPG, it's apparently got a black 302 Cleveland from an XE with a mild cam. When I bought it the seller was positive that it was a 351 but I've had two opinions saying that it's definitely a 302. I'm trying to find out what would be the best mods to get done so I'm not losing out when it's on gas. I also don't want be poor after doing this so I'm thinking around the $5000 mark inc. the $2000 grant for conversion??? Am I dreaming here? I mainly use the F100 on the weekends and don't haul a lot or tow anything, just drive around town so no long journeys on the highway. Here's some pics of the F100 in anyone interested: http://mac.urbanista.net/f100/images/img_0332.jpg http://mac.urbanista.net/f100/images/img_0334.jpg Cheers, Toothman |

hi I fit gas for a living your question is very vague do you want economy ,power, reliability how many kliks on the engine has your truck got a closed or open loop fuel system do you have fuel injection or a carb single fuel is best to set up or do you want both there are three different gas systems and a dozen mixes of each

Lucky the photos show thats its just and old Carbie job , as the XE's were .
First thing is DUAL fuel is a Dog and wont run well on either ! Make up your mind , A Impco 425 and B2 convertor will run it quite nicely if you want to run full dedicated gas. Just stay away from Sprintgas crap , and dont touch GRA stuff unless they are giving it away. |

Thanks guys, even with the rising prices in fuel I'm still not ready to do the conversion yet, it's kind of been put on hold. I currently don't get the truck out enough to warrant the expense.
If I do go ahead I think it will be definitely on straight gas. It would be nice to have all three (economy, power and reliability) I guess economy would have to be the priority otherwise it wouldn't be worth doing.cheers. Last edited by Toothman; 25-07-2008 at 11:56 AM. |
