Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_F-Series

The 1976 F250 was a sixth generation f-series pickup truck available with the following engines from the factory:
  • 240 in³ (3.9 L) I6
  • 300 in³ (4.9 L) I6
  • 352 in³ (5.8 L) V8
  • 360 in³ (5.9 L) V8
  • 390 in³ (6.4 L) V8
  • 302 in³ (5.0 L) Windsor V8
  • 460 in³ (7.5 L) V8
  • 351 in³ (5.8 L) V8
  • 400 in³ (6.6 L) V8
I know that doesn't help at all but as you can see it's a fairly broad question that you've asked.
You'll have to find out the engine number so someone can find out exactly what it is.

Having said that, I'd put my bets on a 302 or 351 clevo if it was am Aussie delivered truck.

Whats wrong with an F truck i mean hey ..... it doesnt fit in my 30 by 40 shed, it takes up back yard, it is to hard to park in a shopping centre, i have to stand on a MILK crate to work on the motor , it takes more water to wash than 2 standard car OH an not to mention water restrictions, there is some good things about it though....... its good on fuel(cos it doesnt go) and it has a 16ft tray so i can store extra stuff on the back of it cos its like a shed on wheels minus the roof!!!!!!!
