    Default Ford 9" diff noise?

    Gday guys.
    Finally got my new project on the road and im a bit concerned about the noise my new diff is making. The diff itself is a new 9" diff to suit a commodore sedan 4.11 gears and lsd centre. The diff is nice and quiet in a straight line but as soon as you turn alot or even slightly an almost grinding noise is heard fom the centre. What could it be? Im guessing its from the lsd. Im using an lsd oil. Do i need a friction additive?
    Any help would be great cheers.

    Had the same problem with mine 5 years ago - you put the wrong oil in it !
    Yes i know you said LSD oil and so was mine but there's a few kinds of LSD oil.
    Don't worry about changing it, just go to Repco or any diff place and get a little bottle of friction modifier for LSD's and put it in with a syringe through the filler plug.
    It will go quiet after only 2 or 3 corners.

    Mines been perfect ever since.

    I had a feeling that was the case. From memory im using castrol ls90. I think. Obviously not right! Ill give repco a buzz tomorrow. Cheers Mick.
