Default the vh budget build

hey all, i got this car a while ago just to get me to work while i await the return of my wagon. but anyonw who knows me, knows i cant leave a car alone lol.

anyways one thing led to another, the best way to explain it i spose is with pics, so here goes;

when i first got it, it looked like this

and wasnt long until i was repairing rust and a few minor dings it had, and removed all the rubber side moulds.

then i thought, fk it may aswell paint it (didnt have my camera the day i painted it)





now the tail lights stand out too much, so i tinted tehm...

then bought some vk indicators and a chrome boot trim (was missing)





then decided the interior didnt suit, so i bout some burgandy sle interior...

now the dash stood out like dogs balls, so i painted it matt black with some good 'ol vht plastic vinyl paint.. also added some front speakers, wierd spot i know but theres nowhere else to put them, and i didnt want to cut the door trims.



then i got the bargain of a lifetime off a mate, so out went the old 202, in with the 304





added a sle rear bumper not long ago, all work done by me. bit of a learning thing for future cars.

and thats how she stands today! all for under 2k (including buying the car)

i just need a burgandy roof lining..

Great job, I like the mat black on the VH, there should be more of it.

Surely the wheels alone cost close to $2K.

thanks for the replies,

theres heeps of other little things ive done on it like heat sheilds etc, but havnt got pics atm.

and the rims, they are on loan from the vl so the price of them isnt included in the total ammount lol.

the engines got new pistons, cam, and i think valve springs :? extractors and thats bout it, came with a supra 5spd conversion with new clutch for $700

only took a cupla days to do the conversion, by myself too, cos i was the only one on holidays at the time haha
