Cool Custom fuel filler

Here are some photos of the custom fuel filler on the J. Started off with a Commodore fuel neck and had an exhaust mate of mine make up a new filler pipe. Once it all lined up, the custom box was made inside the tray. When I repainted the ute, I welded a plate into the panel where the original filler was. Now I have both sides smooth.

It is on a ute Clevo, but I doubt whether it would be on a sedan or S/Wagon. Although its a sealed system, what if the seal wasn't perfect? Fumes would get into the cabin.

for that type of job mark, use stainless sheet, and tig it together, no flux required, very easy job if you have a steady hand,

get a few mates together that need work done and chip in $15 each to hire the welder for 6 hours?

you could very eaasily use and oxy and sheet, but the finsih wouldnt be as nice
