Easy enough to install a universal kit, I used a **** Smith one years ago and it worked fine but you have to pay extra attention to getting things working smoothly because the actuators are very weak. Its basically screw in and spend some time fiddling with bending the rods to the right angles. Any alarm system with a standard locking output will connect to it to give you the keyless part. Oh and don't mount the control unit anywhere it can get wet - mine was behind the passenger kick panel and there was a slight leak there, on a very rainy afternoon I was locked out of the car as all the actuators had seized!

I use to install them for a living, like 76lxhatch said it's more playing around with the actuators, bending rods and screwing rods together. But being a resonably solid lock in the VK standard lock kits may not work correctly. Rhinoco technologies are the only guys i know which produce hi-tourqe actuators which work well in vk-vl's. There more costly but worth it. I still have a few leftover actuators and car alarms if your interested.
