1500 wet rub with a soft to medium block and its a fine line ...DONT RUB THROUGH!!!
Stay clear from the door crease lines and bonnet highlight lines ect just very lightly rub those areas thats where the paint will be at its thinest and easiest to rub through,if you haven't done this before i wish you luck because its a definite learning curve to get it right especially the first time ,the goal is to get the whole car dull ...no shiny spots at all.
A semi lit area will be your best friend , not too much light but not too dull either.
Good Luck Adam

I would use 800 W n D , using a soft block to try and keep the orange peel down, if you go too fine too early you will get a ripple effect, then when done go over quickly with 1200 grit prior to applying clear.

also I would mix clear and colour 50/50 mix,..Im asuming your using acrylic laquer?

when we done mine we used 1500 straight up and had a garden hose on a light trickle going to whole time to wash away any grit.

then same was done again to final coat of clear before being buffed silly. as said if your panels are striahgt u want a dull effect with no shiny spots.reason for going fine paper is u dont want scratches
