green, that looks bloody good, looks very OEM, the layout looks prefect. what material is that mate?
LH, do you want to do a WHOLE dash, meaning from pillar to pillar, or just the guage surround like greenhj has put up?

10mm grained plastic folded to where it clears the 5" tach and speedo. I drew it up lifesize on paper first to see how it would look then sat it in place and tweaked the measurements to suit me in the seat.
I tried to get a factory gts dash look but with the autometer stuff, The gauge thats "missing" now has a fuel pressure in there. Fuel level in the glovebox. Bugger of a job to get it all in there, plenty of dollars but I like it, keeps them off the scuttle and looks ok. |

Mate that looks like an "easy" dash to make, You need to decide on the look your chasing with the whole car, a way out there type dash without the vehicle mods to complement it would look "odd"
Whats the style of the car your building? Decide on that first. |

good stuff mate, as i said, youve done a bloody good job.
LH, a custom dash is a HUGE job........ HUGE! fiberglass is the key, you can buy tins of it from autobarn/burson/super crap/repco use proper fiberglass to make the shapes, and than fiberglass filler to mould it properly. but as i said, unless you are a pro, or have done a lot of it, its very hard, im slowly getting into the fiberglass fabricating side of things, i have done a little bit over the past year or so and a dash is waaaaay out of my league, when i have money blow on it, i might look into a new center console, even that would be expensive, hard and.. yea.. hard. its like how people come on the forums and ask for instructions in fitting a VS commodore dash into a HK Kingswood.. its just... massive please dont let me discourage you, if you have the willpower, money and handyman skills, than bloody well go for it mate!! i would love to see the outcome. van454 would be the man to speak to in regards to more detailed things, he has done some bloody good glassing work in the past, but unfortunatly he hasnt been around as much latley edit: i just re read that, it sounds like im doubting your capability's, but just warning you mate lol would love to see something done from home,

LH I was thinking of doing the same thing to my lh torana. I am going to replace the whole panel that runs from the vent on the drivers side to the glovebox, but out of metal, and get it cut, punched and folded to suit. Then pop in the guages (i have six stewart warner guages) then wire it up. And get it powdercoated black to suit the interior.
