Default Painting palstic bumpers

I want to paint the bumpers on my VN black but don't want to pay someone to do it. Can I paint them with a can?

[NOTE] I got a quote for a new exhaust system and lowered deal]

i would not recomend it as it wont turn out the best spray cans are good for touch ups and small areas not spraying something like that, plus u realy need to ad a flex additive to the paint so it dont crack...

i agree. it's a job best done with the correct equipment

if you really must do it yourself, VHT make a plastic primer to help the paint adhere.

Honestly, it would probably work out cheaper to source some black ones from the wreckers

Yeah thanks all. I've been looking at wreckers, but there all faded. I might just leave it like it. They arn't worth spending money on them as this is a project budget car as I'm going to start saving for a VS S-Pac ute

mine is for sale... i think

as for the paint.
black is a bitch to paint.. and trying to do it out of a can would be worse.. and very expensive.
you would be better off buying one of those $30 spay gun kit from Super crap auto, prime it, and spary with some cheap acrylic black.

i got quoted $300 to spray my bumper.. however that was 2-pac, a rare color and they doing all the prep work

mate if your saving for a VS ute, screw spending money on the VN, put it all towards the VS..
i made that mistake with my VB SLE, just today i was thinking about that.. how much money i lost on it.
