Respray costs for vh - Aussie V8 | Holden - Ford

Hey, im going to buy a vh that needs a paint job but dont know how much it will cost or wat sort of paint i shood be looking at. Neway i want either black or silver all over, how much am i looking at paying for just the paint do i need anything else like primer(not sure if thats how u spell it lol) cheers guys

acyrlic...
paint cost allow around $500 for a solid (white black red)
+ an extra $70-100 for a metallic (silver)
for a DECENT coat of paint

then there is your primer or primer surfacer
and your etch primer ..then undercoat
and fillers ....and wet'n'dry 'shutup'

um...proper jobs that someone else will do will cost 5Gs onwards!

thats a proper job...then theres the not-so-proper jobs which you can pick up from 1G onwards!

thats here in Melb, im pretty sure its bout the same everywhere else!

yeah ..I would allow at least $3 large for a re-spray (same colour)
and more.... for a colour change

note - aaron101 only asked for the cost of the paint

unless your going to get it DEAD strait i'd be going silver.
P.S. metalics are pretty hard to spray if it's your first time
