Default Commy Dash into Kingswood

I noticed there was a bit of talk from a few about putting a vs,vt dash into hq,hj....ect. Has there been anymore tlk about this or has anyone finished there's....Ianshere was talking about doing this conversion and also stated he will post some info on it. Can anyone tell me if there are any pics or information floating around on this subject....At the moment i have my HQ sedan completely stripped and am seriously considering doing this before starting on anything else as i know it is going to be a very big task. All information and feedback will be hugely appreciated.

Taylor.......

hope you have a lot of time and paitience, i can't imagine it being easy, but with a donor car to pull the dash from yourself and measure and make brackets holes etc as necessary, i think it would be quite achievable. Good luck.

yeah it wouldnt be an easy task...

one thing to look at is the dash from a VG/VP/VR/VS three seater ute. they dont have the console down the middle, therefore wont loose the leg room spoken about in the other forum

there is only very minor differences in the column shift dash and the standard one, besides you can always fit the comm centre consol quite comfortably. if your going to try it why not start with a rusty wreck, cut away all unnecessary items and work with just a firewall and pillars, then if it all works and your happy with the fit, transfer your brackets on to your Q. means if you stuff it the first time you can patch it and not worry too much.

I think this was originally a Commodore dash pad.

ooh cool cool.
thats out of the VR airbagless, as the VS & VR's with pass airbags had a rounder passenger side, rather than the dish type thing.
