Default Any Cruise Control Gurus? Help!!!

hey fellas got this annoying problem with my calais where when i press the cruise dash button to activate cruise nothing happens. There is a on/off button with a orange light, then the Resume/Reset buttons with a green light. The cruise is turning on (orange light will come on and off) but trying to get it to activate wont happen (no green lights coming on). Ive used 2 different dash switches, made sure theres no vac leaks, both brake switches are working (one for brake lights and one vac purge for cruise deactivation), tried 2 different servo units, fuses are fine, one way valves for cruise are good, i can hear the cruise module click on and off, and resoldered a bunch of joints in dash for vehicle speed sensor. Still wont work and its driving me nuts so any help would be great cheers
