Default tranny shift strength

what ways are there to get a transmission to engage more strongly than stock for a 202 vh three speed auto other than shift kit or h/s converter any suggestions or help would be appriciated especially first gear

Engage more strongly? Not sure I understand, but maybe you could benefit from a simple service and band adjustment...
