[QUOTE=cruisin72;455277]well on the front end stuff i used 120 grit, then 240, but using both of them on a pad with a buffing machine, and then used green cutting compound and then white cutting compound on a polishing machine and then just used some metal polish to bring out the shine.
.
How do you stop it all from rusting (the steering components)? Being made of cast iron wouldn't they just rust up - or did u clear them?

Sorry mate forgot to mention that, and your right they will rust so I tried to clear them but it won't stick due to the polish so I took them to a company in Brisbane and they put a clear powdered coating on the parts and when dried it becomes a thin film that protects the
Metal from moisture and it's been on there for 3 months now and still looks perfect.

Nice paint, what have you done with the inner guards? Is it on air bags is that why you have chopped them out?

Thanks for the nice comments people, well I will start building the tray in the next couple of weeks and build the exhaust system as well so once that is done, it will be going back to the painters for a respray and the tray to get painted and then off to the interior shop. It never seams to end.

Lower finance rate would encourage more new car sales. Similar to the USA plenty of 16 year olds in new cars there. Also more tax on all imported new cars?
