Yes that is true as u have to weld up the original bolt holes and then drill new holes to suit that booster.

I've tried it and they still work but we are going to use the factory hinges except in chrome, if u use factory hinges with the dints filled in, you have to make sure the bonnet and hinges are lined up perfectly and they will close with out hitting the inner guards with about 10ml to spare.

Have thought about billet hinges with gas struts but everyone is doing that so decided to stick with normal but chrome hinges and people might think a little when they see the factory dints filled but still using factory hinges.

hey mate, well in qld u dont need a heater system but u do need a fan so we modified a pump that is used for blowing up air-beds and mounted it to the original vent up under the dash and we turn it on via a switch in the console.

what methods/ products did you use to get that finish?
well on the front end stuff i used 120 grit, then 240, but using both of them on a pad with a buffing machine, and then used green cutting compound and then white cutting compound on a polishing machine and then just used some metal polish to bring out the shine.
ill throw up a couple of photo,s of the drop tank and catch cans and they were polished just with lots of elbow power using a metal polish but took me couple of days to do.
    hope that helps you.
    before photo of tank.

photo of tank after i finished polishing.

    custom made oil catch cans.

Technically in nsw you dont need a heater for PINK slip, only need the fan to pass. Blue slip may be different.
