Ah its a bit of overkill at around 4mm wall thickness that I had laying around, the bare shell doesnt weigh much.....

Looks like a quality build mate! Awesome job of the trans tunnel, not looking forward to doing mine. I have the standard tunnel and have to fit a T400 in there... the old HG that it came out of looked as if someone had used a cat to chew a hole out for it to sit in then just riveted a sheet of thin alloy sheet over it!
P.s. those rear wheels look super tough! Can't wait to see more!

Time for a quick update. The car doesn't have a lot of rust but what is there obviously has to come out. The bottoms of the back guards need to be replaced, so a while back I bought the rare spares replacement panels. I'm working on the drivers side at the moment and started to strip the paint and bog from the guard to fit the new panel.......found some fairly shabby repairs under the bog......as you do. The right hand replacent panel has the body line in a totally different spot to where it should be (reminds me I have to ring them about that...) so I will need to cut and shut that a bit so I moved onto the shitty rusty dogleg. Made a new section, took the old bit out, put the new bit in....... yada yada yada...

What kind of rear end are you running under the HT Grover? Are you putting in a four link or still running the leaf springs?

Yeah leaf with a rather narrow F100 9 inch.....

Ahh sweet! I was thinking of shortening my nine inch to fit some rims with a bit more dish under the back but I wasn't sure if it was worth it or if the leaf springs would still be in the way. There's a bit of room in the guards for wide rims but the nine inch I have doesn't allow for much offset for dish...

Any more progress on this sweet T? I'm itching to see how that rear end comes together!!
