In tank fuel pump conversion
Hi all , I am trying to plan out a fuel system for my HQ ute . I have a carb fed 383 Chev in it and it currently has an external electric pump, because it's a drag pump it doesnt suit continuous duty driving and overheats. I am really struggling to find a good location under the car to mount all the bits for smicko Aeromotive pump and filters.
Has anyone ever converted their Old fuel tank to a in tank pump one? And what tank did you rob the cradle out of ?it Seems to make sense to me as everything is neatly tucked away in the tank.

I'm doing this with my build but having custom tanks made and the A1000 inside.
Fabrication due to start this month.
Which Aeromotive pump do you have?
I've emailed Aeromotive about this style of mounting and thet now have an A1000 pump re-configured to basically boly straight in with it's own mounting flange (I already had my pump).
I'll post up some picks in my build thread, hopefully by the end of the month.

I am looking at getting the 18668 which is the a1000 setup for in tank installation. If you download the installation document from the website it's pretty comprehensive. I removed the tank today and have a plan inplace now so I am going to have crack at doing it myself once I get the pump. I also contacted Aeromotive and they were pretty good. Time smoke the master card up while the dollar is strong
