My 355 HZ Wagon project
As others have suggested, I have finally started my project thread.
It's a 1979 HZ prem wagon, 308,trimatic,and air.
I have always loved the shape and I finally bought one as a project in July 2007.
Paid 3500 for this.

The Wife and Kids call it the "BOMB"
First to go was the bull bar and then the Gas all sold on Ebay

Then started the task of stripping everything from the shell.

Interior gone

After more pulling down I noticed more rust than I hoped for so I picked up another HZ wagon for $400 to use as parts.

Turned out the spare part car had a better shell than the original Prem.
So I made the discision to completely strip the Prem and fit everything to the other shell.
I don't want to run LPG so the new shell also did not need the rear wagon floor welded in.
Motor out

Got the shell blasted

Took it to work on Saturday and spent the best part of a day getting rid of all the media.
Then pushed it into the booth.

Got the "Bomb" home and started on the underneath. Not a job I'd wish on anyone!

Also I did not like all the welding dags on the rails at the front of trhe car so I got the angle grinder out.

Every nut and bolt has been CAD plated so it will NEVER rust!

Next I attacked the tank.

Welded in a sump

I even bogged the dents, high filded sanded and painted in 2 pak.
