Hi mate plenty of nice factory colours have a look in my O/H shed and see if you find anything you like Holden HQ-Z Paint Colours and Codes
Whats the original colour?
My current faves are Cyan, Amethyst, Lime Green, March the 17th, Blackwatch Green and Aztec Silver
If you are anything like me as soon as you paint it you'll see a car with a great colour and want to change it.

Good Luck
Leroy

I almost hurts to say this but Ford have had some damn nice colours over the last 10 years or so. Are you leaning towards any particular colour in general, red, blue, yellow, etc?

depends largely on what kinda wheels you plan to run.........

if ya paintin a whole picture of a q wagon, gotta dial in the wheels and the
look your going for??!!!

personally as a painter i never liked working on the hq shape, but when the body is good, and gaps a good, then no matter what your preference itll look
hot!

i like lighter metalalics on the hq shapes and lines. maybe a nice pearly effect would work too.......... be subtle. ya want pearl to shimmy in the sun and be hardly noticeable at night........
just my 2cents

yeah like k383 said you gotta look at what kind of build your after.modern wheels go with modern colours but if your after old skool keep it simple. but in my opinion go with the sort of colours it come out with that way you can run hub caps, centrelines or if done tastefully modern wheels. and also whoever is doing it whether it be you or a panel beater make sure they get those quater panels straight cause theres nothin worse than spending a shit load of money on a paint job and those bloody wobbly qtr panels let it down. good luck with the build
