Default New colour thoughts? New project

Hi all,

Well after 8 months of procrastination and planning i have started the strip down of my olds coupe, its basically complete ground up rebuild off chassis etc etc.

I guess the question is the color, i have about 6 months before i will paint it, but i really like sting red after my old VU SS Ute, and i like the idea of all one colour.

I will post some pics for anyone whos interested late, but here is the colour idea so far.

Actually cant post pics? anyone help?

Thoughts?

Cheers

Dan

Red always looks good. It depends if you want a really vibrant colour say like the old mopar's with their bright colours or something a bit more subdued. A nice blue would look good too.

I will see if i can post some pics today,

But i have removed all the front panels and chrome and half of the interior, the doors on this thing weigh a tonne, stripping them down is quite time consuming but getting there. Havent found anything scary and havent broken any major bolts which is a good thing.

Front end looks alright and no nasty things in the chassis. will post some pics of the car when i can. Hoping to put a full day of stripping the car down tomorow and getting a windscreen place to pull out the screens some time next week.

Well after keeping an eye on engines and gearboxes for what seemed like a year or 2, ive finally bought an engine box combo today.

327 Chev stock standard and matching powerglide, full package from fan to gearbox, turnkey inlcuding all boltons. It came out of a camaro so i could hear it start and run, and check the gear box also HPC headers although extra i will wait and see if they fit.

I am a very happy man, pick up next week.
