Auto to Manual HQ-WB - Aussie V8 | Holden - Ford

Hi All,
I'm new here and I got a question.

I'm looking at buying a HQ-WB very soon, but finding alot of them are auto.
If I find the right one and it's a auto I'll want to convert it to a manual.

What sort of gear boxes are recommended (I've heard supra 5 speed)
How much roughly will it cost to get it done (complete)
Does anyone know of a good place preferably in the SE suburbs of Melbourne.

Your help is much appreciated

It depends on how much power and more importantly - how much torque you will be putting through the box. And how you plan to drive it. The supra 5 speed is a dam good box and will hold a fair amount of power and torque. I would guess bout 3k for a coversion to that. If your looking at running big power and torque or using it for circuit racing i would suggest a tremec t56 or a tko 5 speed. Will cost about double for the conversion but will be bulletproof.

thanks for the info, it won't be very powerful at all. Not using it for circuit racing either.
If not the supra box, what else? and price...
