Hi All,
I'm new here and I got a question. I'm looking at buying a HQ-WB very soon, but finding alot of them are auto. If I find the right one and it's a auto I'll want to convert it to a manual. What sort of gear boxes are recommended (I've heard supra 5 speed) How much roughly will it cost to get it done (complete) Does anyone know of a good place preferably in the SE suburbs of Melbourne. Your help is much appreciated Thanks in advance |

It depends on how much power and more importantly - how much torque you will be putting through the box. And how you plan to drive it. The supra 5 speed is a dam good box and will hold a fair amount of power and torque. I would guess bout 3k for a coversion to that. If your looking at running big power and torque or using it for circuit racing i would suggest a tremec t56 or a tko 5 speed. Will cost about double for the conversion but will be bulletproof.
