Default power steering

Just a quick question
can you fit any p/s pump on a 308 or do u have to get the specific one?

just need the correct bracket as far as I know... probably want the correct pulley on the front too.

need some parts for a BBC:
  • fuel pump (VERY important)
  • some nice rocker covers
also need a rachet shifter to suit (thinking about a pro stick or similar)

yeah correct

although you will want to watch the hose/fittings up to the pump
as some are imperial...some metric

or just use LOTS of thread tape... that should do it!!

better off getting a complete unit, you will need a steering box, the pump and mounting bracket, good quality hoses attaching the two, and the bush that links the steering box to the steering shaft is different to a standard one. get on ebay and try to pick a bargain, or a swap meet.
