I have heard of it happening in the US as well. I locked onto a cropduster many years ago and didn't realise at first. It was showing 230 and looked for the car but then noticed the cropduster flying parallel with the road. I was half asleep one hot sunny afternoon up northern Victoria and a bit slow that day.
