Default Looking for a clean Charger

Anyone know where I can find a clean VH Charger.
I've been doing the Hemi6pack forum lap and the moparmarket lap too.
Pricey stuff!!
Maybe they're too popular.
Just saw a VH last week the guy wanted 4k and the back half of the car was about to fall off!!!
Geeez.

the price of valiants in general has skyrocketed and your more desireable models ie chargers and hardtops are leading the pack. Goodnews if you already own one not so good if your looking for one I suppose.

All I can say is be patient and just keep looking, I picked my hardtop up through moparmarket and got an absolute steal and I was looking for a centura at the time.

Good to finally see the market realise the value of our aussie mopars I reckon.

how far are you willing to travel and what condition?
you've got pretty much no chance of getting a nice clean cheap VH but the others aren't too expensive. + if u want a VH just change the front end

"how far are you willing to travel and what condition?"

Well I suppose it depends on how good it is and where it is.

I know I can change the front end of them all to look like a VH but I suppose it depends on the car and what it has.

I really enjoyed driving my old four speed 265 - so a car with potential to be transformed into that with minimal rust.

I suppose I would drive or travel upto 1000km to get something decent.

I would need to pretty sure of getting it for that effort though. Pictures etc.

I would even consider a V8 car if it was auto and had steer.

Rust doesn't bother me too much as long as its not plenum and chassis.

Those two spots just hurt to fix.

Even the car I looked at was a weird experience.
The bloke asked me to make an offer. I had no idea what he wanted.
I told him $500. Rusty boot chanel, rusty "A" pillar, rear quarters, doors.
I thought for 500 I would pump in about 6months work and a few grand.
He basically laughed, told me to have a look around and said he wanted $4k.
I almost fell over!
After looking around a bit I think $1500 is about as high as I'd go now.
I think he should have a look around!

Thanks for the links.
When I see the adds like that (together), I ask myself what am I really looking for.
I think I should sit down and really throw my ideas down on paper and chase that.
I almost want to build a custom Charger.
Maybe I should just find a shell.

have a look at what another mate emailed me....

that'd be nice if you had a spare $80000 grand lying around. if you are going to go the custom route there are several cheap big blocks for sale on Mopar Market, i even think theres one there in Sydney with a 727. here you go found it

I saw 2 Chargers today in the same suburb on the Goldie! One was mint and the other was a roughie that was perfect as a project.
