yeah exactly what wedge said, my old man has a CK with a 318 in it. and it gets up and goes when need be. or at least it used to before it was taken off of the road 10 year ago

but as far as mods go, if it still has the 2 barrel carby and manifold on it, ditch it and get a 4 barrel carby and manifold of some sort. that should help open it up and an electronic dizzy helps too.

But yeah you definitely have to get it, there isn't many on the road anymore and one more on the road means one less in a scrap yard

Thanks guys,

I was going towards this car (either that or towards a 78 XC fairmont...yeah yeah i know!)

one question though, i realize it has NO LSD, is it possible to get LSD on it?
Im sure it will drive slightly better with LSD as compared to none...

more thoughts would be awesome!

Easy go hard car. big carb. clean exhaust , Great cruiser (like the QE2 to drive but. don't even think about parking spots that are smaller that a truck bay) will lay rubber till the tyres pop

Ch & CJs are quite alot different to the CK, tons more room in side the H & Js just look at the rear gaurd and rood line, the H & Js are tons nicer and smoother to drive, the CK was just a stop gap untill the CL-M hit the market, but by then the writing was on the wall for Chrysler Aust, did you know that in all their years of selling Chrysler products in Aust not one cent ever went back to usa?

i still think that the CK's had the better looking interior for the SE's nice corduroy type material, very nice on teh bum fro long trips

but then again i am biased and also haven't been in the other two

Ive driven a CJ and it is light as a feather!!! wonderful cruiser...Still in negotiation with the seller. Im getting a prof evaluator to do a valuation as im in melb and cant see the car is in qld. Any here from qld willing to check it out for me too? The more feedback i get, the easier for me to make decision.

Hello v8rs!

Update on this CXC im interested in...

Got the report from the 150 points inspection!

basically...

• suspension is sheit!!!needs FULL rebuild! ALL rubbers are split!!!
• steering box leaking
• pump making noise
• suspension mount bent!!!
• oil leaks from all places - power steering box, trans, diff!!!!!!!
• ODO not working...
• RH sway bar mount bent!
• wheels bearings are sheit!
• hole in muffler
• A/c only kool...maybe a leak
• drivers window dont work
• large amount of movement in idler arm

these are some bad points...

qs...do ya'll think its worth 8.5Ks?

thoughts would be awesome!

(might just go with the Ford XC 351 FMX on LPG now which was my second choice anyways

8&1/2!!! hell no not unless he got it fixed for you. they way it is now you would spend at least another 3-3.5 grand just getting it acceptable. but it does largely depend on how good the body work is? if its shot then i would offer him half of what he's asking. and if its good maybe 5500-6500.

but thats me, there is always a better car out there.
