Listen to the guys, you want .0025" min on the mains, .002" is a bit tight.
1/2 a set of HX bearings in the caps will fix it, will cost you under $100 to know it's good.
I'm not on here much any more - don't bother PM'ing me, chances are I won't read it, just call me on 08 8376 9540 if you need to get hold of me or email knight28@optusnet.com.au, phone is better!

The only thing I'd go 2.5 thou on the mains on would be an alloy block ... On a cast iron block that would be my minimum ... You're going hell for leather mate, but I'd take a step back and re-consider your clearances ...

i sent a email to scats crankshaft to ask about the best clearances. here's are the reply i got he also said 2-2.5 on the mains.

    Hello Sir,

2-2.5 on the rod to journal clearance, .14 side clearance would be the minimum.

so i will pull back down to recheck the main clearances again. if its a hair under .002 i will get a set of +001 bearing for a better clearance and pace of mind.

You''ve spent good money buying the right parts and doing all your clearences, probly have good h/p as well, be a shame to see all that coin go to waist. You'l be glad you did in the long run.

No RTV mate, just bolt it back on ... You dont want any gunk inside it .... The little deburr makes a nice difference to the quality of your oil pressure ...

hi it a moroso racing oil pump part number is 22101 and got form summit racing. this is what they say about the pump.

The nation's top engine builders rely on Moroso racing oil pumps because of their superior design and ability to provide consistent oil flow. They're designed to handle the extra demand required from higher engine speeds. Special anti-cavitation slots, feeder grooves, and an enlarged bypass area are machined into the housing to bleed oil back to the inlet side of the pump. They feature proprietary cast housings fitted with precision-machined gears and a precision-ground shaft for outstanding oil delivery. Each pump is 100 percent pressure-tested to stringent quality control specifications to ensure that the pump you receive will perform flawlessly.
