Looks nice. I guess the reason it looks that way is so that the air and fuel mixture is more homogene. The air does a 'whirlwind' motion right?

OOh, nice engine 2x 4 brl carbs with supercharger? Cool. What have you heard about those FSI engines? They apparently run real lean, but i don't believe it. Correct me if i'm wrong, but they can sometimes run at a lambda ratio of 3 to 7 (or could be 1.3, but i'll have a look). They have these flaps in the inlet manifolds which can change the way the air enters the combustion chamber.

Yeah, I'm struggling to see anything there that looks like a carby or a blower.

The heads look great, although I'll be the first to admit that I don't know what I'm looking at. What's the G.O. with the springs and plate on top of the roller lifters? I've never seen that before. I imagine it gives greater closing pressure to the valve ??

As Allports said, it's called a rev kit, and helps the lifter maintain contact with the cam lobe under higher rpm.
Allports, my drinking partner, who happens to be a former Jet Boat champ, and current engine builder swears by those PRO ACTION or KIWI heads for his chev customers. There must be something in them, as Paul (fatty) Vautin can recall after a little test ride LOL.

They are a good head, and just about the only 1 that has flow figures that actually match what the catalogue says........A lot of other brands claim certain numbers including high dollar cnc heads but you rarely ever see the head match what they claim
