Default A good Intake mainfold for a stock 350?

I'm chasing a manifold for my Chev, the info on most sites doesn't quite tell you what you can expect. Just wondering if anyone knows anything that'd be good for a stock 350, with a possability of a head change in the future.

ATM I'm thinking the Victor jnr Edelbrock one, anyone had one of these?

Why will it kill it? Moneys not really an issue as I know good parts are worth good money, and I'm willing to spend it on me car. Also a good carby size, would a 750 go nicly with it?

Oh also, Something liek this?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....link:middle:au

And also, What does the Air gap part mean? Will I need to get a manifold to suit a later 350, as mine is a crate motor?

Its a single plain and would flood the engine. As for the 750 that also would drown it. If its stock you should go for a 650 on the air gap and it will be a nice combo. The air gap is the gap between the upper and lower part of the manifold. Have a look here. Edelbrock.com - Manifolds - Chevrolet - Performer Air-Gap - Small Block Then read what it says about the Victor. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_...ictor-sb.shtml

It's not a matter of the cost it is what will work for your combination.

stock 350 with some miles on it 600vac hands down List 1850, good reasonable manifold is the Weiand action plus, responsive economical and more often it is a little cheaper than the edelbrock. Consider your diff ratio may be tall and convertor may be std or just a little bit of a stall the exhaust system your running. Put a vac guage on it and drive it around and note the inches it pulls. Then note it when you flog it. Write it down then come back and post for moreinformed responses. If you put a single plane like a torker or victor with a big carb you'll lose your drivability.
As far as being a crate motor, you need to look if your intake bolts are vertical or on an angle relative to the ground btw.

Yeah definately don't put a Victor Junior on it, any good dual plane like the Performer, Performer RPM or the Weiand and a 600 vac like allports said will be the go. Hell I went from a Victor Junior to an RPM Air Gap and ran half a second quicker over the quarter and my car is a low 12 / high 11 sec combo... Don't fall into the trap of putting race car parts on a streeter because of what you read in a catalogue. It's all about the COMBINATION..

Yeah absolutly, it was actually a guy at Chris Mills performance that suggested the Victor JNR. I'm glad I didn't go that path.

Oh and my intake bolts are on an angle compared to the ground, what manifold should i be looking for, early or late 350?

I've got a very mild 383 for my ski boat and when I bought it, it had an Edelbrock Torker and a 750 vac on it. I've replaced those with a Performer EPS and a 600 vac. Should be alot better suited to my needs. As mentioned before, it's all about the combination
