Which cam and which heads (there's quite a few) What size bottom end, how much comp, what carb, what rockers, what manifold, what pipes, what car is it going in, what G'box, what stall, what rear end, what ignition? Lots of questions waiting on answers.

holy shit man i was just asking if people have had good outcomes from them, I'm still indecisive on cam,but anyway
327 performer rpm 64/170 heads crane energiser 1.5 rockers maybe performer rpm manifold(i've got it but might make it lose top end speed) 650hp holley t/350 2500stall flat top pistons, comp should be around 10:1 maybe 2 balanced steel crank stud kit H or I beam rods i always get confused(it's the better of the two) msd pro billet with 6al pacemaker tuned length extactors i will have 3:7 gears(i've 4:11 but there gonna make it scream) the cam i got in mind is http://store.summitracing.com/partde...2&autoview=sku that's the story so far all in a hk prem

You'll need a bit more stall with a 327 and 234@50 cam. It will also need a bit of advance when you install it. 10.0 comp will make it a little lazier with alloy heads. The size of the head being 170cc should be fine though. Maybe consider going to a 1.6 ratio on the inlets.

You may consider going down a size in the cam at the end of the day. Theres nothing wrong with the qual of the products except strip the heads before you put them on, quite often they are full of grit and swarf etc. Seen this more than a dozen times with complete US heads. And at worst ive seen where the valves arent actually sealing. The black coated inserts used in theses heads have a precut seat before they are installed into the heads and can be out a little. Costs nothing to check. Even if you just bearing blue them in to the seats. Dont bang them in that will always show a witness mark. just push them in gently. Or with the springs off and a finger on the valve head pour a bit of kero or prepsol into the bowl. If none leaks through, your home and hosed. If it leaks get them serviced.....and yes Im talking about brand new heads before anyone asks.

Had a look at the same set of heads the other day they do need some work to get the best out of them the bowl area needs a little attention as does the short sides and the set i seen the valves were shrouded a little to.Nothing a few hours work won't fix the good old out of the box ay.

Ready to run the box says. I could tell u some horror stroies. Even with the upmarket versions they dont flow anywhere near what the catalogue says. Not saying they're a bad thing cos they're a good starting point but dont assume that its all good. Must check, have to look.
