Default 383 Stroker

Hey just looking at some new motors for the HK Prem and stumbled across this
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/383-STROKER-C...QQcmdZViewItem
Just wondering if anyone has brought an engine through these guys and can give me any reports, also what does everyone think? do you reckon it'll be alright in the prem?

Cheers

Sounds like a good deal to me. Maybe give the guy a call and ask as many Questions as possible. Ask him what he can Guarantee the horsepower will be. He says 547hp but that will the engine you get be that??

That looks great. But i was reading last night about a 383 SBC that you can buy in the states for about $5000 making 502 hp 500 ft. It was 10:1 they dyno it for you.
The place is T&L engine Developments or www.tandlengines.com
The mag was June 2007 Popular hot rodding.
As it said eveything came with it not just a long motor.
Something to think about with the dollar like it is.

Do not buy from them, I purchased a 383 block about 2 years ago from them, piston rings were not fitted correctly, block had to be remachined. Cracked web at the starter mount point, these guys are as dodgy as they come

MER, now they advertise themselves as a big shot melbourne drag racing company,. and they might be. But from my experience, they ripped me off, I reckon the ebay sale was a crap one they were off loading when I bought mine, so I put all there stuff in the same category. When I recieved the block I noticed all the pistons were popping out of the cylinders "first I Rang them up sent emails etc, there answer to all the problems was just put a thicker head gasket on, I explained to them as Im a jet engine mechanic that I was getting piston pop from 8" through to 26" on a dial indicator, there answer was sorry mate I didnt check the mechanics work before I sent it out, bullshit they sold me a dodgy motor and they new it, the block had been machined on an angle. I had to pull all the pistons and machine them flat with respect to there cylinder and rebalance the whole lot, then when I fitted the engine low and behold the rear starter web was cracked. Do they honour ebay warranty, shit no they said. It was a bargain sale. 3900 dollars for a block/crank/piston setup. Even contacted fair trading over it, couldnt touch them, becuase it was an ebay sale.

Do I recommend them "hell no", are they better than they were two years ago, dont know and dont care, will never buy from them again.
