Well if it were me I wouldnt be touching that engine. Its probably worth some money to someone with a non matching numbers GTS. Probably not huge money but money that you could use to build a nice hipo engine for yourself.

Get onto the fastlane forums and talk to a guy named byron rich, he,s a holden guru. I had one of these engines in a ute that i was going to do up, but eventually sold, I had mentioned it to byron and a week after i sold the ute , a guy from south oz contacted me looking for one for his hq gts. He may still be looking so give it a try.

Thanks for the advice i think i will leave the engine how it is and start rebuilding a 308 i have laying around to go into the HQ.
