Default Powerglide Problem

Hey,

I have a 307 that goes into a powerglide trans with a 2800 stall and pro matic shifter, my problem is that when i am heavy on the pedal and change gears from 1st to 2nd it revs out a bit as if in neutral before changing gears. Wondering if anyone knows why this is happening

Thanks

itd be a good thing to attend to it before it flares a treat one day and you end up with valves kissin' pistons.

Another thing to check is your shifter setup. My t400 was flaring and it ended up that the b+m bracket was a sloppy fit on the selector shaft, the shifter would work fine but the shaft wasnt fully in gear.

Eliminate all the easy stuff before you pull the box.

hey thanks heaps for the help so far..

heres where i'm at spoke to a few people today and turns out my kickdown linkage is missing... which provides a pressure when changing gears. so this is probably my first
stage at rectifying the problem. Does anyone know if a stock linkage will connect up to a holley 600? also does anyone have or can take a photo of theres so i know exactly what i'm looking at...

Cheers
