Default chev inline sixes.

Hi all, Im looking for info on any of the early chev inline 6's.

Bore/stroke, weight, factory horsepower, rpm limits etc.

I have had a hunt around but would like to hear from anyone who's owned/built/worked one of these. Are they any good? Any aftermarket gear for them?

Cheers, Green

they are basically like a holden 6.

there is a 210 and 292 that i know of.

John Cain sells 292 suit re-build for $400 roughlty i see in Just Parts.

I assume you can hot them up with US parts...300HP sould be easily achieveable, stg3?

Ideal for an LC/LJ or something....

There is also a Duggan head from Victoria as is a Kay Sissel head from the USA lots of other and all the usual switched on gear. Do you want an engine or a duggan head, I know where I can get 1.

A mate had a 292 with Duggan head in a UC Torana many years ago.
The torque it had was incredible however had a few problems keeping flexplates and balancers on it. That engine is probably the one allports knows of. It went to Sydney years ago.

Yes, this one was too. Was to go in a Nova wgn and came with intakes for single 4bbl Holley and triple Webers.

FWIW the valve cover stuck out of the bonnet of the Torana, along with the whole carby.
